He has glasses on. I wear glasses with a thing to prevent my glasses to slide off if I sweat too much. Some types of these silicone things are big and could push the scapha out a bit. Also since Lloyd is in constant comms it could be a bone induction Bluetooth built in the end of the glasses behind the ear.
