It’s highly unlikely the upper echelon Dem politicians fail to realize the days of the DS are numbered. They know the real poll numbers and the real election results. They know the Great Awakening has progressed past the point of no return for them.

The Dems are stuck with Biden, or someone equally weak because the Dem politicians who have half a brain realize campaigning for President will get in the way of their escape planning.
