Norway (all bossy and rich, suddenly, since NS1 & 2)
Come on now, we've been filthy rich since the 60's and bought selfrighteousness on the world stage since the 90's. The NS stuff only helped us from like 1.2 to 1.3 trillion dollars in our oil fund.
is just patting itself on the back, You see, their own Stoltenberg is important in NATO (another globalisms), too, or something.
Do you know how much we payed and bribed to get StoltenBERG in? We have bought the right to pat ourselves on the back. Our legislated use of the pension fund is to bribe enough people to have 75% of the western world give a standing ovation when a Norwegian enter the room!
Unfortunately Stoltenberg turned out to be a warmongering stooge instead of the flaccid placeholder we expected him to be. Sorry for any nuclear wars ok?
Oh, I see I messed up the terminology. Apologies. It used to be called the oil fund since it contained the money we got from the sales of oil. At one point it changed name to the pension fund so people would stop asking the government to use it for public good. We'll get the money later.
It's so nice, Stoltenbergs close friend and multibillionaire Nick Tangen is currently the head of the fund so he's free to use the worlds biggest soveriegn bank account to invest largely as he pleases.
I'm sure there's no favors going back and forth when this friend of Stoltenberg, the head of the oil fund, suggests Stoltenberg as the head of the Central Bank when he retires from NATO.
