I guess I still have some cognitive dissonance left cause this story is silly. My grandfather was born in 1876 when U.S. Grant was president, and I can assure you that there were lots of people around in his time. If not who was it that fault the civil war, or for that matter the revolutionary war.
I cannot explain how block/stone building were demolished. That does seem implausible or why there were so few deaths.
