I agree. No bodies business to know that. However I think the bill required that insurance companies ask for that information on the policy forms. And you know how insurances companies look for loopholes to deny coverage.
So lets say you are required to fill out a form to obtain insurance. You do so but omit a correct answer on "How many guns do you own" or "How many guns are keep in the residence/Automobile being insured". Then it is possible that if you filled a claim and was found to have omitted that information, the insurance company could claim beach of contract due to fraud, or some bullshit like that.
Anyone who tells others what they actually own in their homes is a sucka. What I own is no one's business, ESPECIALLY a leftist or any govt
