Some people purchase homes as rental property. I had a Client who set up an LLC for each home. The name of the LLC would be 402Green LLC for a home located at 402 Green St. They did this for quite a few in one city, but the address is still at the Agency they filed it with. It's not a bad idea to have a name that's not your own on a second property so that it's not so easy for people to track you down. Other reasons for an LLC. Would be a small company that you want to be separated from your personal business so that you can't be sued as easily
Lots of vacation properties are bought in Wyoming. Many 2nd homes are bought through an LLC created for that one purchase.
