This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Ha ha, funny😆 I lied (to myself) last night when I said I was getting off screens. I always pop in before bed. I have noticed next days chat is now popping up after midnight as it should. Instead of around 9-10:30 of the actual day we are still in. I do enjoy seeing the first comments but am missing them if get to sleep early like I should.
I’m noticing if I put my phone on silent, I sleep better. I don’t always do that, but I should. But I don’t like to when I’m away from home, in the event, my 83 year old mother has an emergency, and she can’t reach me. It’s a catch 22.
I understand that! Certain phones have a do not disturb feature. I have iphone (I know!). I can set certain people or apps to get through when on silent. At 9 it’s in silent until later in AM. Only family can call me during that time.
I haven’t been sleeping because of being sick and the steroids.
I have iPhone how do you do that?
Just my mom to get through. How do I do that?
Look on line or video for directions. If I find anything I will share. FYI: if your phone is on silent nobody gets in!
Basics getting started:
• I have certain doctors office in favorites because I’m not a morning person. But they need to get through.
• after you get everyone in favorites
• Settings, focus (if you can’t find it search) I don’t do the different settings like sleep and focus. • under Do Not Disturb •you add the people that can bypass Do Not Disturb • Also do the apps. I allow my daughter, her husband & mine in What’s App & Message
• further down you can set the schedule. Every day it automatically goes in DND. I might take it off manually if I’m up and hubby has gone into work.
• there are other settings I have not explored.
• Next settings Control Center Click on + beside each one you want on the short cut menu • add what you want *** well dang focus isn’t in there. I don’t know maybe it’s on pull down menu automatically.
• If you find it under pull down menu you can press on the cloud to turn it off & on manually. Doesn’t matter when you do it manually. It will reset at the next scheduled time.
Theres good videos available I don’t have time at the moment to weed through the bad ones.
