Keep in mind some context, 1st generation immigrants and Asian household's tend to contain more than 2 income earners, sometimes 3 generations worth. This significantly brings up the household income.
Yep, I have a Chinese friend who's family moved over when he was three. His parents moved into his house with his wife and kid. I know Indian families who are the same way as the grandparents are the babysitter for the grandkids but run their own side businesses from home. I also knew H1-Bs who had several roommates who also were on work visas all in the same rented house.
Also they tend to have well-paying jobs vs the Latinos where you often see a household with 6 cars in the driveway and ten people living there with maybe a third of them making minimum wage.
Exactly. Alternatively, there is a house buying method that me and my siblings are apart of. We all buy a house together. 2 put 100% (subtract savings) of their take home pay into the house while 1 uses it for groceries and living. Pay the house of in 2 - 4 years and buy another house. Over and over.
