I know a few people that have it, but they get it more for nostalgic reasons - Grandpa came over from Italy, etc. My husband is eligible because his parents are from Ireland and he has mulled it over.
But I wonder what rhe overall percentage of the population is versus those in government.
Also, something like 75% of countries now allow it. It didn't used to be thst high.
Once again, you can not hold allegiance to two countries. A majority of out government leaders, I bet, hold dual citizenship, particularly with Israel and Germany.
