It's kind of like having Google in your head, which is pretty damn incredible.
Is "incredible" really the right word choice here?
All you have to do to believe that this is like "having the entire internet in [your] head" is believe that Google provides access to the whole internet through their search engine; that it is impartial, and complete, not limiting and targeted.
Of course if Google search is limited and targeted... well, then this might be a gateway to something far different than what it pretends.
"This enables a human-computer interaction that is subjectively experienced as completely internal to the human user—like speaking to one's self,"
Like speaking to one's self, if one's self is an NPC controlled by an AI.
I would disagree with that statement because unlike neuralink, you can remove the device... If it were permanently attached to the user then I could see your point... Cheers fren... ☕️☕️☕️
My comment was more about the requirement to trust Google for the statements made about it to be valid than "against the technology." I'm certainly not against the tech. I think it's cool. I think neuralink is cool too. My problem isn't against tech, but the way we trust the institutions that give it to us.
Ya, sure. Just like Gates made an OS on his garage.
It’s always more “palatable” when a “young entrepreneur” makes a super duper cool, new fangle thing that all our DS scientists couldn’t do (even tho they’ve stated that man to machine, brain/web interface is their end goal.). 🙄

They hooked it up to Biden and it blue screened.

Ahhhh... I stand corrected and see your point taken in that light... Cheers again fren...
