Those were indeed clear indications.
I had to think of Smedley Butler. Guarding the structure, republican form of government is something many people have done, each on their own. But would it be logical to suppose none have considered the implications of say: Federal Reserve without any thought to its pernicious subversive nature?
Representative Patman from Texas clearly understood in 1933 what FDR was playing at. And it seems to me, he cannot have been the only one with clarity of mind.
Viewed in isolation, it may be unrelated. But I wonder. IF every action cause a reaction, even viewed from a Hegelian dialectic perspective, it stands to reason to suppose a group of people actually engaged in the preservation of liberty as envisioned by the founders.
Of course, such presence may morph with time in several shapes, depending on the necessities of the time frame, and a clear view on what a man can and cannot do.
It would not surprise me one bit.
