No noticable changes to talk about.
I finally got the cbd oil yesterday. Gave her the first dose of that. She ate and went back to sleep fir a bit. Then she woke up with tail wagging and laying on me for some lovings.
Went out and got more stuff to feed her. Grabbed a few marrow bones. My wife threw the bones and stuff in a pot. Now shes got a pot of her own stew with all kinds of good stuff in it.
Damn dog is eating better than we are.😁🤣
You made me laugh when you said the dog is eating better than you! Don’t think she hasn’t figured out the sympathy angle!
That dog has always eaten better than me. Even when i had no money, that dog ate before i did.
My pack of four never tasted a can of dog food in their lives (and one lived to be 19 1/2). Once a month I'd spend the day cooking for them. A protein (chicken, beef or turkey), brown rice, and a veggie (broccoli, carrots, etc). I'd portion them in freezer bags and stack them so they'd have a different protein each night. I suppose the only thing I didn't do was make homemade sorbet for them to cleanse their pallets between proteins. Hang in there, I'm following your story as closely as I follow Q!
We've been cooking our dogs food for the past few months because one of our pups was having a bad reaction either to an allergy or adverse effects of vaxx or allergy shot the vet gave him. The changing of our pups food did wonders for both of them, his skin/coat was so bad from all the bumps and hives, though his coat is looking better (not completely but much better than before) his paws are still swollen and sore (bleeds sometimes).
We started them on a bunch of supplements is what really started his body to fight whatever is going on in his body, then decided to change to just one supplement powder that has a lot of supplements in the one powder. Makes it easier to give the pups instead of 10 different things. They've only been taking it for about 2 1/2 weeks now, but there has been a little improvement but it's going to take awhile for his paws to get better. The supplement is called Detoxapet.
We have big dogs, so they eat more than regular size or small dogs. They are both 95-100 lbs each, and really, they don't eat as much as the dog food bags say to feed them, but when we cook a big batch/pot of food, it only lasts maybe 2-3 days, as they eat twice a day, then we have to cook again. When we first started cooking for them, we did turkey, but lately we've been doing mostly beef as they seem to like it better. We also put in something called Dr. Harvey's Raw Vibrance to give them more nutrients that they need in their diet. Instead of feeding it to them like directions say to, we add a few scoops into the food as it's cooking.
How much do you feed them each day?
I had 4 small dogs (2 chihuahuas, 1 yorkie, and 1 rescue) so all 4 of their dinners would fit easily in a quart storage bag. They ate at night but had some kibble available during the day.
Just like your children always eat first.
