Pardon implies a crime was committed. No crime was committed by President Trump.

I'm saying to do it for self protection. You know how crazy and deranged these people are. He did something similar with general Flynn when his judge was basically holding him hostage by refusing to dismiss the case even after the doj dropped its charges against him. He didn't call it a regular pardon, it was something like a pardon of innocence. He could call it the same thing.
