"Journal" is a new app that is part of the newer iOS. It's simply an on-your-phone place to journal. Not sure why that needs an option to be discovered by location services, it's not like most people would ever share their private journaling with others. And if they do, it's usually via video journaling like tiktok or YouTube. But it's just a journaling app.
Thatโs the point. In clown world they want to know everything youโre thinking or doing. There is no privacy. Only they can have secrets or so they think. Itโs why they want Assange and Snowden dead.

That app drains the battery, I disabled all permissions on that app.
Now the phone battery lasts longer.

Doesnโt matter. Any unintentional sharing of anything is bad news.

Supposedly that is not what is happening. The data stays on your phone.
Apple is hacked from the firmware level. This information was released in January. The data on your Apple device can definitely can be hacked.
