He's not wrong. It does kind of hurt. Not the winning per se, but the process of getting the wins. It's never easy. Dealing with all the balderdash the left does, dealing with the media barbs, the court baffoons, and last but not least the Biden blunders. And much of the country with blinders on. No wonder the Babylon Bee is so accurate: the deep state is an all you can eat buffet of bullshit to fill up on.
It's barbaric.
So once you've dealt with all that - which is painful - remember that Trump thrives on pain, conflict and the challenge. He eats it for breakfast. He'll keep winning whether we're tired of it or not. Because it is what he does. It's who he IS. It's all he can do. He can't do anything else. It's not in his nature. He may not have been (and may still not be) the president some people want(ed). But he's the one we needed and still need. Because he can take it.
The cabal is just a good protein shake to him, and bro never stopper lifting, and now he's swol AF.
What you say is true. If you read Conrad Blacks book "A President Like No Other" that chronicles Trumps formative business years, this is clear to see. Many times he was faced with challenges, most not of his on making, that would have sent most business titans to the bottom, but he prevailed in ways that impressed even his most ardent detractors.
This also is evident, and encouraging to any discerning person. Some invisible force, and not even talking about the divine here, is influencing event and turning sure failures into certain wins. Trump is not doing this alone.

No pain no gain indeed.

Whether divine intervention, unseen influence, or sheer force of Trump's indomitable will and his unconquerable soul - we stand with him.
