Please read the post I made above explaining how a Republic is a form of democracy. A representative democracy.
There are also a couple of links to videos of President Trump talking about how he's going to save democracy. How is he going to save it if it doesn't exist?
Yet again, the Founding Fathers were talking about a direct democracy which is commonly referred to as "mob rule". We don't have a direct democracy. We have a representative democracy. They are not the same thing. I really don't understand why people don't understand this concept.
Could you tell me what you believe a democracy is and what a republic is?
I'm really interested in what you believe them to be. I honestly believe that many people have no clue what either are, and just go along with what others say.
I know the difference. I've explained in detail in my posts above.
But no one I've spoken to here has been able to explain their stance. Like you, they just say "We're a Republic!". Just saying "You're wrong!" doesn't prove I'm wrong.
I don't know why people respond to my posts if they don't want to have a conversation on the topic. Why is it so impossible to get anyone here to do something as simple as explaining what they think a democracy is?

We're just going around in circles here.
