TRUMP'S TOUGH TALK WORKS: EU Commissioner Plans To Boost Military Industry and Outgrow US-Dependency on Defense | The Gateway Pu...
For the European nations, one of the key takeaways of the two years of war in Ukraine is that their military industrial complex is woefully inadequate, incapable of delivering in a crisis.
It's almost like Trump is still Commander In Chief.
Uh huh....CIC all the way.
KEK. With what?
EU has no resources and no energy. Also no human capital that can make things. Just like the US.
Fiat money and FIRE economies don't build stuff, they wreck stuff. And gay pride parades don't build ammunition, or create Joules.
Germany WAS the economic powerhouse of the EU, but they were reluctant to invest in war, partly because they were under the US thumb in NATO, and partly because of a collective guilt. So, I agree with Trump that they should fund their own militaries and make war materiel they-selves. Once they have to pay for it out of their own pockets, they might be less keen to just let their stuff burn on the steppes. It's easy when it is someone else's money, hey?
However, I wonder if the current German government is adult enough to have access to anything, let alone weapons. So, in a way, the country needs to burn with humiliation yet again, for letting ideology take over their Sovereign rights. As you say, currently re: war, they don't have even the ammunition to rub together, let alone hard-ware or personnel, after project Ukraine. But that geometrically challenged 360 Annelina is ever so keen to let's you and him fight, like a three-year old Narcissist.
In an ideal world, there is still NS2, which has one operational pipe. The hope is that Germany puts its big-boy diplomacy pants on. They could then make a deal with the Russians, with concessions to peace, to get at least half of that Baltic gas back. That is, provided they can drive out all the Notsees from their gobmint. I'd venture that this part is vital for the Russians. BTW, in that case, the second NS2 can be repaired too. Perhaps even the Ukrainian line can be re-instated. Perhaps - it depends on whether that pipe crosses unruly or thieving territories, or not.
If germany is denazified, there is no need for weapons because who will they use it again?
The whole point is that they, at the command of the US cabal, made an enemy of the Russians, and were cut off from raw material (Russia has a lot, Germany doesn't) and energy (Russia has a lot, Germany doesn't).
"Economic powerhouse" is not possible without raw materials or energy. GUESS WHERE germany was getting both of those before they decided to go full vassal-nazi (again).
So, if they decide to undo all this nazification, the whole point of building their own weapons becomes moot because their perceived enemy (the Russians) will no longer be an enemy.
You have said that well. And I agree.
Exactly 💯
That is Trump's point about EU / NATO defense. They still want US to bail them out with bullets and even our blood, whilst they spend their GNP as they please.
Defend thyself Europe, if you still believe you have a civilization worth defending, which you must, if you want US to defend it FOR you! OR do you want us to defend your modern socialistic inspired annihilation of civilization?? With our blood??
This is not 1945. Your countries as no longer in devastation, other than that inflicted by your self-invited invaders.

So, no, the Brussels bureaucracy is moving on this issue, although it may in the end be a moot point, ahead of European elections that can upend the political power balance in the EU.
The European Commission has proposed to boost its arms industry, shift it to ‘war economy mode’ in response to the conflict in Ukraine.
European industry commissioner Thierry Breton proposes to encourage EU countries to jointly buy more weapons from European companies, and to help such firms increase production capacity.'
