Leverage was pretty good show, (a little unrealistic how they pull off their tricks), but so much TV, movie, book content has been ruined by my awakening.
To see shows that portray doctors as caring about patients above financial interest, to see TV episodes, movies, or read book that cast American military or CIA as protecting our freedoms, that portray Russia as our enemy, and U.S. and the benevolent do-gooders, or the FBI as a federal law enforcement entity, when I know that is all a lie has ruined my ability watch, or read a lot of stuff.
When I am able to start from the position that it's all make believe, it helps. But things like Jack Carr novels I can not longer read. Reacher still works because Reacher reflect the rot, and corruption military, government institutions, law enforcement, and society.
i haven't watched tv in alot of years....this just popped up on my feed ....and i'm bored
You ever see, Mr. Inbetween?
no....but i'll look for it
Once you have finished the original series don't bother watching the reboot without Nate.
Me too, fren. I watch everything anymore with a jaundiced and wearied eye.
Most of us here know too much now, and find that most fictional (or even purportedly non-fiction) dramas will be complete and utter fabrications of reality.
The writers (if they can be given the benefit of the doubt) write unknowing or accidental propaganda, often with a covert agenda push.
At best the writers are naïve, and at worst they are complicit, CIA-owned, MK Ultra mind-controlled propagandists!
Like they say, ignorance is bliss....
Unfortunately, I am like the children's story book tale of the little near-sighted mole who came out of his underground lair into a sparklingly beautiful gemstone garden, and was so happy. A 'friend' handed him a pair of magnification glasses to help him 'see'. It revealed the gemstone garden was really the county landfill full of garbage, broken glass and tin cans glinting in the sun. His world was shattered.
Bravo, well said.
