This is outrageous! Did little LJ have her little feelings hurt and embarrassed? This could be handled simply in a memo expressing disappointment of the behaviors of some. What the members of the FDNY should make clear to their leadership is they won’t back down. Ban together and all of them tender their resignation rather than bow to the fascist behavior of their superiors and their union. Give them and LJ a big FU. No, this can not and will not stand. We are NOT going to live in a communist country where wrong speech and think is punished. First it was take the shot or you are fired, now it is open your mouth against the actions of others and you are disciplined. ABSOLUTELY, NO WAY.
Sounds like they all need a sick day, no one shows up for work. It’s sad for the people of NY but you cannot keep on shitting on people and expect them to swallow it.

If they don’t ban together and fight this, it is one more step away from freedom of speech. Their union should sue on their behalf.
