did you consider that Trump & Pence baited them in to passing law that definitively prevents the VP from doing stuff like rejecting electors? Because in 2025, they are going to try anything and everything to prevent DJT from taking office again, and because of that law that THEY passed, the VP option is completely off the table.

Did DJT want Pence to reject electors? Just because he made all that noise doesn't necessarily mean so. 5D chess.
