Sorry but what you speak of is amillenism where they teach the church replaced Israel which is heresy. This was started with Origen, adopted by Constantine and later by the Roman Catholic church. Saying God breaks His promise to Israel makes Him a liar. The covenant made with Abraham was unconditional and this covenant was passed to Issac and Jacob. The last 20 + chapters of Isiah tell of the establishment of Israel as a nation in the end times. Zachariah 12 tells of Israel no longer being 2 sticks--nations-- but one nation. From Revelation 4 to the end of the book is all Jewish in the language. Romans 9-11 makes it clear God is not through with Israel. Not every Jew in Israel is not of Edom!
I don't believe the church replaced Israel. True physical Israel is the church though. The phrase, "The Called" is defined by scripture as Israel. Only true Israel. The Greek word translated church is "the called out". Modern Christianity teaches that God broke His promises by believing the frauds are God's chosen. The world is upside down, not the Kingdom of God. In the Hebrew and Greek there is unity of faith and doctrine. The words Jew and Gentile as we understand them today are not in the Hebrew or Greek.
The church is spiritual Israel according to the Bible. I just say what the Bible says and I believe the Bible. You can believe whatever you like, it is not worth arguing over.
That is good, but please provide a verse. Spiritualizing the bible destroys the message that God intended. There is never a need to spiritualize. It is most often done to makes sense of the bible in view of the world. The better way to understand God is to make the world fit the bible. When you get the correct people in the correct roles, there is no need for a spiritual Israel. Christ said that His Israel people follow Him and hear His voice. Who has done that for the last almost 2000 years?
I take the Bible for what it says. Rom. 11:25-36 tells the fate of Israel and God has blinded them until the fullness of the Gentiles---the church---and then God will work with Israel again. If you read Rom. 9-11, you will get the full picture in the difference between the church and Israel. We worship God in spirit and through faith WE are grafted into the ROOT---the root being Israel---. We are in the times of the churches in Rev. 2-3. Rev 4 starts with AFTER these things---the church era---God will again work with Israel. It seems we have a difference of opinion and you have stated what you believe as have I. Someday we will find out who is correct if either of us are!
