New York AG takes 1st step toward possibly seizing Trump's assets as part of $464M fraud judgment Trump's lawyers say he faces "insurmountable difficulties" in obtaining a bond.
New York Attorney General Letitia James has taken an initial step toward laying the groundwork for a possible seizure of former President Donald Trump's assets in New York's Westchester County as part of the $464 million judgment in Trump's civil fraud trial.
State officials have entered the judgment from Trump's civil fraud trial in Manhattan with the county clerk's office in Westchester, which would allow James to move to take possession of Trump National Golf Course in Briarcliff Manor and Seven Springs, a private estate in Bedford, if Trump fails to secure a bond.

THEFT pure and simple.
Obtaining assets out of thin air! By decree of corrupt officials.
How does this extra fast seizure jive with the squatter laws in New York? Maybe Trump should declare himself a squatter...

So this is Westchester County. Notices would have to be entered with all counties where the property is. On Twitter folks are saying this happened a couple of weeks ago, but it was just noticed today.
Hi fren,
can you provide a link to the story please?
thanks.

yeah, nothing can happen right now. She can't seize anything today. Trump has until Monday.
After the judgement occurs, there's automatic stay of the judgement for 30 days.
After Monday, he would need to raise the money to get a stay of judgement during his appeal. If he doesn't the appeal goes on, but they can begin to effect the judgement by taking assets.
He has a motion in with another judge for more time.
The news today is that this first step is already on file in Westchester.
