The reality is that Lego reached out to the police and asked them to not use the toys in their pics. It was an order or anything remotely like that.

“The Lego Group reached out to us and respectfully asked us to refrain from using their intellectual property in our social media content which of course we understand and will comply with,”
But the media knows you aren’t going to get excited about words like “respectfully asked us to refrain” and “of course we understand” so they write the headline to manipulate the sheep.
