The Denver Post, on February 15th, ran an Associated Press article entitled Homeland Security aims to buy 1.6b rounds of ammo, so far to little notice. It confirmed that the Department of Homeland Security has issued an open purchase order for 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition. As reported elsewhere, some of this purchase order is for hollow-point rounds, forbidden by international law for use in war, along with a frightening amount specialized for snipers. Also reported elsewhere, at the height of the Iraq War the Army was expending less than 6 million rounds a month. Therefore 1.6 billion rounds would be enough to sustain a hot war for 20+ years. In America.

So were there two different billion+ purchases?
During the oblamer "administration", ALL federal agencies were ammoing up-Like the US Forest Service, Dept of Commerce and many more agencies that had no reason to need weapons. I was totally bemused about this and wondered where any skim off would go... Things that make you gou HUNH!!
All the contracts were given to strange LLCs when I checked. Like how are these brand new companies able to supply that quantity of ammo cheaper than the manufacturers?
Follow the ammo from Renagades era and it might just be "surplus" the LLCs got by the pallet load..
I thought they just bought a huge amount this month (March).
The article is from Mar 11, 2013
Yes I saw that. But I'm talking about this March 2024. I thought I saw somewhere they just bought a huge amount of ammo.
