TOO FUNNY! I think the WH press dept is having a lot of FUN. Often wonder who are the most asleep. Canadian,s or Australians? I guess a sun tax for Aussies might resolve that issue!
If they leave out the tax component, it actually makes sense. The problem is that dense urban areas have a reduced amount of soil able to absorb and filter rainwater runoff before it goes into the lakes, rivers and oceans. Rainwater is awesome. I drink it (or melted snow) every day, but if it is collected from a parking lot it is full of pollutants.
Instead of a new tax, they should be incentivizing people having gardens, green spaces, greywater gardens, etc. Their instinct is always to govern with a stick rather than a carrot.
Did you know they were trying to criminalize rainwater collection in Oregon when I was still there. I couldn't believe it because rain all the time in Oregon.
They are totally over their heads with power craze.

Oops WH means white hats not white house however I do believe the good guys are in control of that too.
ROFL
The Toronto Sun is reporting about a Rain tax?🤭
I was just thinking, doesn't it rain all the time up there too.
My state tried to do that but guess who saved us? - Walmart. They would tax you on how much space your roof and parking area has. Walmart said no way.
Wow. Corporation is the power behind all this then.
I suppose they will pray for more snow then, in order to avoid the tax.
Where's the trucker.
