Terrorists like these seem to be owed some dissuasive terror back. I wouldn’t torture anyone myself but I understand they had to talk to possibly prevent further similar attacks.
Not to criticize you personally, but that attitude is endemic in the West. We're a "civilized" people and find it difficult to do such things. I've often thought that if we were to go to war here in America, what lengths would I (or we) have to go to to win? How much of our civilized nature would we have to put on hold until we overcame the bastards that want to destroy this nation? And further, after it's all over, could I (or we) ever get it back?
A time is coming when good men are going to have to do hard things. I just wonder if, after it's over, can we go back to being good men?
I think the West has become, as Rush Limbaugh used to say, an Oprah-fied society, fueled by feelings, and a gynocracy where feminine values trump masculine values. I see that as about to change, though, in coming days. As We The People get more and more fed up with government inaction, our borders being overrun, criminals loose in the streets doing as they damned well please, citizens are going to become more, shall we say, "personally involved" in the justice system.
OL' WEST SHOOT-OUTS, HERE we come...IF Citizens took matters into their hands when things such as this happens, well, as the saying goes:
"An Armed Society is a POLITE Society"!!!
