Intermittent Fasting has been the NORMAL state of mankind, until very recently. This is how we are designed, and why a vast majority of people are morbidly obese; we are civilized man, eat far more calories than we need.
Not to mention that most of what we eat, is full of sugar, carbohydrates and is generally really bad for us.
I found eating low carb is automatically fasting intermittently every day; you have zero hunger for 5-6 hours after a meal anyway, and fast 12+ hours from after dinner til breakfast
Low carb is natural for humans too - animals are full of healthy saturated fat, protein and vitamins and almost no carbs - kill, eat, sleep, fast, live
Absolutely agree, still have a ways to go; but 318 lbs is unhealthy for anyone; down to 225 and a bit more to go. Keto takes a bit of getting used to; but once you get your system back in balance, it's amazing how much better you feel; and how much your hunger subsides.
Going from constantly craving food, to not finishing your meal at a restaurant - and not feeling guilty about pushing a plate away; is very liberating.
