While I have no intention of replacing meat protein with anything else, mushroom/fungi that is not poison, can be pretty good for us. We are closer to fungi than to plants in basic genetics make up. Fungi > soy and other plant-based proteins as far as humans go anyway. Cows, horses and other grazing animals on the other hand might want to stick to the plant-based diet, heh actually some of it is good for pets who are omnivore as well according to some. YOU are NOT a Cow, stop eating solely plant based foods as your diet! heh heh heh
This isn't anything new. The company Quorn started in 1983 and they use plant-based protein derived from a natural micro-fungus called Fusarium Venenatum. The fungus is fermented, in a similar way to beer or yogurt, which promotes growth of the mycoprotein.
It is a good alternative for vegetarians who want to avoid being feminized by soy.
This deserves a Crimes Against Humanity flair. At this rate sewage will be recycled for consumption.
Enter Bill Gates.

The DS is mocking us.
