I suggest you read "Death of a Nation" by Dinesh. Deep dive into the other big lie : the party switch, and also the birth of the democrat party. There was no party switch, democrats were desperate to create space between them and slavery, plantation politics, and the KKK. Dinesh brings the receipts too. Good read.
