Same here. I will sometimes check thru the shutter next to the door, ask what do they want, and say no thank you. If they persist, I tell them to get off my property, shut the shutter and go back to what I am doing.
I have ordered a welcome mat that reads in big bold letters, GO AWAY. Years ago, my brother bought me one and my sister in law was so upset about it. I told her I loved it and my brother knew me so well.
My niece has one of those little tiny window doors in her front door and I love it. I imagine myself opening that little door/windown thingie and telling people to get off my lawn. My front doors are practically all window so you can't even army crawl to the door without being seen.

I have that same mat on my front porch. I don't answer the door. The mat says it for me.
