My kid's school in colorado has already issued a statement that recess is canceled on the day of the eclipse, kids in portable buildings will be provided with "safety glasses", and those who went to leave the school during the eclipse are "doing so at their own risk". Hmmmmmm
Get this, I have a family member that's going fly to Tenn., I think, watch the eclipse, then jump back on the plane & fly home, that is unless it's like the 'Twilight Zone' & the plane lands in a parallel universe 000oooooo.....

...personally, I would recommend staying inside and watching it on the interwebs...
They usually have a plane full of scientist to video the eclipse for as long as possible, to study later.

When there were eclipses in the '60s they had us make safety viewing boxes out of a shoebox to teach us not to look directly at it
