Building it would only be an attempt to further rebel against the Messiah that God sent in Jesus.

They are welcome to try but good luck. God will not be mocked.

So I was just reading up on it some and it sounds like the third temple is meant to go where the dome of the rock is. Seems more of a rebellion against Islam than Jesus. It's true that the Jews are building the temple for the messiah because they reject Jesus but the dome of the rock also rejects Jesus as the Christ.
