Well

It turns out there's another famous rapper named Joe Budden, who also just so happens to have been in close proximity to P Diddy in 2016, for a few years at least. Mind you, Joe Budden is from NY & Jersey and was no doubt networked in with the rap scene there, alongside Diddy, Jay Z etc, in the early / mid 2000s.

From AI chat

Joe Budden, a rapper and media personality, and Sean "Diddy" Combs, also known as Puff Daddy or P Diddy, are both successful figures in the music industry. They have had a professional relationship over the years, with Diddy signing Budden to his Bad Boy Records label in 2016. However, their relationship has also been marked by tensions and disagreements.

In 2019, Budden criticized Diddy's decision to bring back the MTV show "Making the Band," which led to a public back-and-forth between the two artists. Budden accused Diddy of not supporting his artists, while Diddy defended his actions and challenged Budden to make his own impact on the music industry. Despite their differences, both Joe Budden and P Diddy have continued to work in the music industry and maintain a professional relationship.

Speaking on his involvement with RevoltTV:

Joe Budden, a rapper and media personality, had a tumultuous relationship with Sean "Diddy" Combs' media platform, Revolt TV. Budden was initially brought on as a co-host for their popular show, "State of the Culture." However, tensions arose as Budden felt undervalued and underpaid for his contributions to the show.

In 2019, Budden announced his departure from Revolt TV, expressing his frustration with the company and the lack of financial compensation for his work. He accused the company of "exploiting" him and other influencers, causing a public rift between Budden and Diddy's media empire. In an effort to resolve the situation, Diddy reached out to Budden directly, but Budden continued to criticize the company for their treatment of him and other creators. Eventually, the two appeared to reach a resolution, with Budden stating that he would be moving forward with his career independently.

As of now, Joe Budden has created his own media platform, "The Joe Budden Podcast," and continues to be a prominent figure in the hip-hop community. The incident with Revolt TV serves as a cautionary tale for creators and influencers who may feel undervalued or exploited by media companies.

He has recently received flak for not speaking on Diddy being raided

He has recently linked up with Candace Owens

These days, Joe Budden runs a podcast. I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. Judging by the few headlines I've came across he seems to be a major voice within the hip hop / podcaster community. I expect he has a lot of connections being in the game for so long.

Also, in 2016 (same year he signed to Bad Boy Records) he apparantly choked and robbed his ex and got convicted on "disorderly conduct" - amazing!

Budden — who is known for hit “Pump It Up” — had been charged with stealing his ex-girlfriend’s cellphone, pushing her head and choking her.

He was never indicted on the original charges of robbery, grand larceny and criminal obstruction of breathing because of the deal that was reached.

Budden’s attorney, Nima Ameri, said he was happy with the resolution.

Also found a roster of past and current Bad Boy Records artists. Might be worth noting who all was and is involved with that company: https://www.ranker.com/list/bands-and-musicians-on-bad-boy-records/music-lover
