As the Hoosier state braces for a memorable celestial event, Governor Eric Holcomb has taken a proactive step by declaring a statewide disaster emergency in anticipation of the total solar eclipse set to occur on April 8th, 2024.
Pls pardon my ignorance but exactly what are we expecting will happen during this solar eclipse event?
Not sure what everyone expects but I did tell hubby, I am NOT filing our taxes until the eclipse is over.

Well, according to the article that the OP linked above, the concern is that the hundred thousand or so tourists that will be headed to Indiana will put a strain on the infrastructure there.
There's also the concern of tourists wiping out the grocery stores and gas stations while they are there.
