I'm just spit balling. What if evolution is the how and Christianity is the why?

What if God created us all but also allowed nature to guide us? What if God is more observant and laissez-faire than he is proactive at shaping the world?

What if all of this fight between God and Godlessness is just a fight to replace a Godly religion with a Godless religion (science)?
