I don't know how true it is, but I heard that during the draft for the Vietnam war, when you showed up to the draft facility you were asked "if you're here for the draft, please step forward." If you stepped forward, you technically volunteered.
Personally, I would ignore the summons if I'm conscripted to fight in some bullshit war.
You do that then the military police will show up at your front doorstep with silver braclets and you'll get a ride down to the nearest induction facility.
