Never understood why he was so popular with conservatives.
Probably mostly because of his debates with woke college students. He was seen as an intellectual with a skill for "owning the libs".
Then he lost a lot of his cred when he became a never-Trumper.
He lost me earlier than that when I listened to a discussion between him and someone else where they were bashing Ron Paul with the dumbest justifications. For example, one of their criticisms of him was that he invests in gold.
He's pro-Trump now and is doing a fundraiser for him. He's got a lot of squish in him but he's very pro meritocracy and anti rainbow mafia. I enjoy his views on "mainstream" conservative views, anything advanced level he's useless on.
Yes, I'm aware. I'm not soliciting memberships for his fan club, believe me. Personally, I'm fine with compartmentalizing people. I like his work in the areas I mentioned above and dislike his failure to talk about the steal, and his general downplaying or outright mocking of "conspiracy theories". People listening to Shapiro are more likely to end up fully awakening than people listening to most of the other mainstream media personalities. Therefore he's a net positive to me.
I did see Shapiro owned by some smart ass British guy once in a video and thought, hah, Ben only looks good when debating really young woke idiots.
His unwavering stance on Israeli right to comitt autrocities cause they be God's Chosen People makes me want to puke. Not that I'm a big fan of radical Muslims and Sharia Law, but, seriously, the October 7th attack and Hamas' origins are suspicious as all get out. The subsequent excuse for keeping Netanyahoo (sic on purpose) in power with a wholesale bombing of Gaza is terrible optics no matter what justification Israel has for doing it.

I don't care if he gave Trump every dime he's earned and his wife earned, he's a pathetic little man and should never be trusted.
And, did you know his wife is a doctor?

That makes total sense.
