If the phones were dropped by humans, I'd agree with you.
But they weren't. They were dropped by Black Bloc idiots (i.e. Communists) who are spoiled by the media, the government, and NGOs covering for them. IOW they got sloppy.
What phone isn't setup to lock within a few moments after use?
I can imagine someone getting lucky and snagging one while it's being held but that'd immediately put the rest of the group on notice. But kudos to them if they managed to get some info that reveals the workings of the group. I'm hopeful but skeptical at this time.
Yeah I was wondering that too. In other news, my nephew is a police officer with the mounted patrol and was on the scene of a free Palestine protest downtown Friday. They were agitators really, all they had to do was protest but one decided to try and punch my nephew. Another grabbed the reins of his horse (he got the business end of a horse head for that). Three were arrested but then like clockwork the video of the incident was posted on Tiktok claiming police brutality. He told me yesterday that these protests remind him of antifa.
I do know people who don’t enable locking. It happens.
The same fishy smell is noted and agreed to, however.
How about this:
“Guys, you’re surrounded and in range. Unlock and hand over your phones and we will give you a nice cover story so your puppet masters might not execute you and we’ll leave you relatively unscathed, or at least alive for now. If you’d like some bruises for additional cover, we are more than happy to oblige you.”
Unlocked phones? Sounds fishy.

My phone's mostly locked because it's required for MFA for work. Not sure I'd bother locking it otherwise.
Since chances of Antifatards having jobs is nearly nil, this doesn't surprise me too much.

Maybe white hats will get these phones, and they can break the encryption. Wishful thinking...

It does raise questions. Infiltrated ?
