I think the apostles were tired because they ate and drank at Passover. More of an exhaustion from the holiday and the emotions involved in what Jesus said to them. Overwhelming for sure! I so relate to their humaneness. lol. I would have felt so much guilt after awaking and seeing him being arrested. And more guilt by scattering in fear.
