That could easily just be an airplane casting a shadow on the clouds. The light during eclipses does all kinds of weird stuff. Have you ever looked at the shadows that trees cast during an eclipse?
And those eclipse glasses are so you don't burn your eyes out staring at the sun before totality. You are supposed to take them off when the sun is fully covered. NASA may be doing some crazy stuff, but I guarantee you they are not selling you eclipse glasses so they can fly UFO's near the sun during an eclipse without being spotted...
I live in an area where we had 99.6% totality and was excited when the photocell on my landscape lights kicked on! You are right about the shadows from the trees, etc....almost felt hazy and the tree shadows on the driveway and house were eerie.

You were that close to totality and you didn't go to see it?
Didn't have to leave my house, was right overhead.
You said you had 99.6%, which is just outside of totality.
Did you see the 2nd vid in the story with the black discs? Thoughts.
It's more than likely dust particles on the photo-sensor of the camera

I don't know, but it looks like some kind of camera artifact to me. Dust on the lens.
I wondered the same thing.. it’s a static image…
