The continents are actually giant, ancient volcanic islands that are pushed around by midi ocean spreading centers as the magma underneath them moves around the planet...
Thus there is more water displaced by the introduction of new magma flows into the sea than there is from any change in the glaciers/ice caps. But it is a closed system. Any magma that comes through the crust means that the crust sinks a bit because now there is less supporting fluid below. The mantle, the crust, the oceans, the atmosphere are just a series of fluid layers like 7-layer dip. A bubble in space. The only way to add matter to the system is via asteroids and meteors.
The only other option is that the Ocean Water levels are where they are because God wants them there.
Oh and I just read an article. It is every bit as hard to get from Iceland to Greenland due to Sea Ice as it was back in the '70s.
