While it is not illegal to collect rainwater in the United States, some states impose restrictions on it. The states where collecting rainwater is restricted are Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, Ohio, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
