The use of the word "suspect" rather than "driver" might mean that the crash is thought to be deliberate.

Good Catch...ALSO NOTE that the "MASS Serious Injuries"...HOW does the newsie know that there are serious injuries??????

NO One knows the extent of the injuries so why report it as "MASS SERIOUS INJURIES"...

Because they gotta ramp up the fear porn among the normies and, "MASS (insert negative term[s] here)" is more scary and distracting than, "a number of injuries", "several injuries" or something similarly less hyped/inflammatory.
