BMW i3 with a 42 kWh battery capacity, does not require a 250 kW charging station for fast charging. In fact, even a 50 kW DC fast charger can provide relatively fast charging for the BMW i3.
Using a 60 kW DC fast charger with a charging efficiency of 90%, it would take about 41.6 minutes, to charge a BMW i3 to achieve 125 miles of range

That's Tesla max output for their fastest DC charger 250kW has nothing to do with whether or not a vehicle can fast charge. Even Tesla's older DC fast charged fast charged with only 150kW. This a bmw i3 with only a 42kWh battery, and can absolutely fast charge with a 60kW charger.
You need 250kw for fast charge.
