yes and your other post with the military social aides could be right too which accounts for the ropes. those are 100% mil guys, could be any branch. are you trying to nail down possible proto Q people from back then or is this just curiosity?
Yes, I know that. (Hence why I called them dress uniforms in my previous post.) But those are not any military uniforms, white tie or black tie, that I can find.
I even went to the trouble of looking up when uniforms are changed, since that photo was taken in the 1960s.
So, again, which branch wears these formal outfits?
I've already looked up all formal wear uniforms for the Marines, Army, Navy, and Air Force and none of them match the ones shown here.
Also, the biggest clue that they aren't military uniforms are the photos in the JFK library labeling this photo as JFK and Jackie photographed with their aides.
Just because there's some shiny braid work and/or pins on a tuxedo doesn't mean it's military.
Military uniforms are not....uniform
They have special ones for black tie affairs
yeah that's called mess dress. like the tux of dress uniforms.
Do you think the outfits in this photo are mess dress?
Which branch?
