Then, they were released back to Ukraine in a fit of dove-ness from Krushchev. They returned to polish their brass buttons and skull badges, and to tell their offspring about them ebil Russians. Running out of gibs in the nineties (remember the fall of the Soviets?), just turned the whole mess into what it is now - To save money, Ukraine denied services to people in their own country and did not repair roads, and Russo-phobia grew, but really it was butthurt, over the last war.

One could tell a similar story re: Crimea. The globalists/imperialists have long wanted that juicy prize. And Russians have long had cannons and fleets guarding the place. For fun - have a look at the Charge of the Light Brigade, where Britain thought they would establish a nice Naval base on Crimea, and teach those fuzzy-wuzzie Tatars a lesson. LOL.
