And it really doesn’t do much to address the things that made online shopping attractive in the first place. Such as the lack of selection in local stores. Why spend potentially several weeks hunting through local stores on top of your other responsibilities and obligations to find an ultra specific item. When you can have it delivered to your door sometimes within a day or two of purchase.
They’d probably have been better off taking steps to make it easier for local businesses to compete product selection wise. Rather than just tacking on another tax on the consumer.

Doesn't need to be said... Amount of revenue from sales tax goes up with inflation, no reason to raise tax other than ... ?
