Plotted on a graph, lack of links to a source is directly related to the amount of people using the word updoot here on this board.. Reddit culture is… you know..

It should be called out more but people are usually quicker to react to the content than dig into the post.

I did a bit of research though, and signs def point to it just being a fake image. It was posted on here just a year ago.
