There may be a scare-event (precipice) of that scenario, but it wouldn't be for real.

Trump has said, at pretty much every rally the past couple of years, that he can/will have peace in 24 hours. The fact that he mentions it constantly means he thinks (knows) that a situation will arise where he will step in and save the world from catastrophe at the last minute. Enjoy the show.
