Drumming up sympathy ain't gunna work. A wooden stake through the heart is the normal treatment for descendants of Vlad the Impaler.

The wooden stake story was articulated in Bram Stoker's Dracula - a Gothic thriller/horror/swooning-ladies fantasy, based on the Vlad-stories that circulated in Romania, via folk-tales. This book is also the founding document for any Vampire stories that exist today.
